Frequently Asked
Questions
Things you should know
Do you guarantee satisfaction?
Absolutely! All our work is guaranteed 100%. If you do not like our photographs of what you requested, we will try again. If you are still not 100%
satisfied, there will be no charge for our services.
In what format do I receive my still photographs?
We normally provide all our still images, both the high resolution and the website ready version, in standard jpg format. We can provide all of our
still images in virtually any file format you request for no additional cost.
Can I specify a size for my images?
Yes. We can provide
rotating and
animation images to your size specifications, typically 400 - 600
pixels wide but we can do them up to 3000 pixels wide or high. Our High Resolution and Website Ready photographs are delivered in
whatever size you specify.
What color backgrounds are available?
For our still photography, most clients have the background removed and replaced with white, but all colors are available. We also have a variety of
colored, gradient and reflective background materials available. For
rotating object
images and
product animation images , typically a white background is best for web
integration because it highlights the product most effectively. We also offer black backgrounds for our rotating and animation images.
What if my product requires assembly?
We will assemble your products at an hourly rate of $40 per hour, billed in 15 minute increments.
How do the rotating and animation images work?
We typically take between 16 to 40 pictures of a product (but can go as high as 200) while it is on a computer controlled turntable. We then photo
edit them for background removal and any needed adjustments and "stitch" them together into an Adobe Flash movie showing full
360 degree product views or the
product
motion in an interactive image.
Is there a size limit for objects requiring rotating images?
We can provide rotating images for products up to 70" in length and 50 pounds in weight. There is a small up charge shown in our
pricing table for the larger objects.
In what format do I receive my rotating and animation images?
We deliver all our
360 degree rotating and
product animation images in the Adobe Flash (.swf) file format with interactive mouse control. We
can also deliver them in .gif format but they will not be interactive.
Who has the rights to the images you create?
You do. We provide all our final images to you on an exclusive, royalty free basis but retain the right to use the photographs for promotional
purposes and as examples on our website.
How do you deliver my product images?
Your images will either be emailed to you or posted on a secure ftp server for your exclusive access. Your images can be burned to a CD for cost of
$10 per CD. Draft images may contain a DeLime Imaging watermark that will be removed upon receipt of final payment.
How long does it take to get my final images?
Turnaround time varies with the complexity of the setup and the number of images taken. Normally, we are able to complete an assignment in 3-4
business days from the time we receive your product.
What happens when you are done with my products?
When the photographs are complete, we return the products to you, at your cost. If you do not want the products returned, we are happy to keep them.
What are your acceptable methods of payment?
We accept payment from PayPal accounts, major credit cards and company checks written to "DeLime Imaging". For more information see our
Payment description.
When do I pay for your services?
For first time customers, we require a 50% deposit with the receipt of your products. Upon completion of our work, we will issue a final invoice for
the remaining balance of your order plus return shipping costs, if any. Before we release the final images, we require payment in full.
How do I get started?
Simply call us at 919-484-0378 or fill out the
Contact Us Form and tell us the type and quantity of products to be
photographed. We will discuss the process and time line and get started!
Where does the name DeLime Imaging come from?
No, there is no Mr. DeLime. We wanted a name that was unique and learned about the Caribbean terms "to lime", "liming", and "de lime". They generally
mean socializing in an informal relaxing environment, especially with friends, engaging in interesting conversation. That definition fit our personal
and business philosophies and DeLime Imaging was born.
